GoTranscript Requirements

As for registered companies, GoTranscript adoption is relatively easy. However, there are still some requirements to meet.

1.You must be of legal age.

2.No experience is required, but you need to pass their tests. And if you fail their test, you can try again in a few days.

3.You need to have good English skills.

4.It does not matter if you type faster or slow down because their turnaround time is 10 minutes 6 hours. You get paid per minute for each sound, so if it takes you 6 hours to record 10 minutes for the audio, you are only paid for those 10 minutes for the sound.

5. As long as you have a computer/Phone and internet connection, you are eligible to work for them. Of course, having a fast computer and a strong internet connection will be beneficial.

6.If you are an experienced writer you can also have computer hardware such as a quality earphone and foot pedal to get the most efficient recording function.

According to the GoTranscript website, they pay their transcribers up to $0.60 per audio/video minute.

They also mentioned average earnings can be around $150 per month and their top earners are making up to $1,215 per month.

It's not you can earn $100-$200 within a month of starting its a matter of typing skill GT guidelines knowledge you will gain while working with them.

Speaker 2: Well, Steve, I'd like to ask you how your day was, I understand you had some problems with a machine, can you tell me about it, while I do the dishes? Just start talking. 

Steve: How between the balancing machine, we found out that the low sensors on the left side and right side both work by swapping the cables, like the indication on the screen still shows no load values and grounds on the left side. I inspected the circuit board to see if there aren't loose connections on the current load [unintelligible 00:00:56] is in connection with an error signal to actually show you anything this is trying to show us something that is not the correct value. And coupled with that, the timing on the weight and balance, I'm going to show you that 90 degrees off-axis [unintelligible 00:01:18]  to zero degrees 12 o'clock.

At 0 degrees at 12 o'clock, we put that out there and it shows you that 90 degrees instead of 0, and if I put them at 90 degrees, it shows 180 degrees, etc. So there's a definite problem with the calculation. So we need to get Hoffman America out there to do a calibration on the units or at least look at it but since I think the data acquisition board is having a problem. We've actually looked on eBay and found one at a low price. It will still need to be calibrated. Regardless.

Speaker 2: How much do you think that this might cost the company?

Steve: To get the service takeout they quoted us $4,000. And the board might be I don't know $2000-$2500 on top of the service tech company out so it might be $6500-$7,000.

Speaker 2: Wow, I could buy a nice used Toyota. 

Steve: Actually, in some places, you can get a nice car at that price.

Speaker 2:  Celica or an Edsel?
